Brittney A. Franklin, DMD, MS

Meet Dr. Franklin
My profession is very important to my identity and happiness. I simply love every aspect of being an orthodontist, from meeting patients for the first time and the challenge of designing a custom treatment plan for them, to executing the plan in the most perfect and most efficient way. The goal is always a beautiful smile that will last for years to come.
Most of all, I love the relationships I am able to build with my patients based on trust, mutual respect, and the desire to have a lot of fun at each visit! Being a part of people’s lives gives me extra purpose and focus. Working with so many unique people definitely enriches my life: I learn a lot from them, and I feel like a better person for knowing them.
Education and continuing education
- Bachelor of Arts in biology – University of Virginia
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine – University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine
- Orthodontic Certificate – Temple University School of Dentistry
- Master of Science in oral biology – Temple University School of Dentistry
I am always excited to face new challenges. With orthodontics, there is a constant challenge to stay on top of new innovations in technology and treatment options. I regularly attend continuing education courses, both in person and online, to stay current on the latest academic and clinical research in all areas of orthodontics, especially Invisalign®.
Outside the office
A native of Shippensburg, I reside in Chambersburg with my husband Ed, and our cat Kashmir. My free time is spent enjoying the great outdoors, biking and hiking, as well as reading and traveling when I get the chance.
I take very seriously my contribution as a community member and my responsibility as a professional in the community — promoting ethics, caring, and consideration for others. Being active in the community makes my life better; it helps me to feel connected to the people around me. I am actively involved in my church, as well as with the Philanthropic Education Organization.
